These are dynamic times for business all around the world. Automotive, Aviation, Mobile Devices, etc. have been going through hard times. Malfunctions of equipment that have put consumers in harms way, have brought manufacturing to rethink how changes and process are done. Improvement projects and culture changes are shaking industries and their
suppliers. Making safer quality products more accommodating for today's business model has been a challenge. So what can we do as quality leaders on our organization to keep up with all this activity and position our companies to ride the wave of change, growth and prosperity? My suggestion is quite straightforward – join your ASQ local chapter.
Membership in the ASQ provides unparalleled opportunities to connect with peers, expand our knowledge, and partner up with people that can assist us in current business trends. To me, the ASQ stands out as our area’s premier business-enabling and -advocacy organization and quality.
Regular meetings, conferences and other activities provide extraordinary opportunities to grow our networks and gain new insights for addressing the common challenges facing all of us in business today. By working together as ASQ members, we have a much stronger voice in our community.
Although it may sound cliché, there really is strength in numbers. I think that’s especially true with the ASQ. Renew, join a new, and reach out and encourage the companies you do business with regularly to join as well.
ASQ Section 1206 offers you a seat at the Valley’s most important quality business table – whether your business is a small manufacturer or service provider, or something a bit bigger. I look forward to visiting with you at our next event, and seeing your name in the ASQ’s continuously updated membership directory!
