Forget what I said last month about “the temperature was 51°……… Spring is finally in the air!” The snow and cold is back….. how depressing. But our program meeting Monday night was awesome & hot!
Liz Menzer, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Forward Program presented the fundamentals of the program and how it relates to the Baldridge Award. Then Dan McLaughlin (from a manufacturing background), followed by Barb Knutzen (from the healthcare industry) shared their perspective on what Wisconsin Forward is and how it benefited their organization. There was so much information from these three speakers that I had some of the material added in this
Next month’s program meeting seems like it’s going to be just as hot, if not hotter…considering it's a tour of a foundry! We will be having a tour of the Waupaca Foundry, which is a joint venture with the Central Wisconsin Section 1218 in Wausau, so please check out our website (www.asqsection1206.org) and register as soon as possible since registration is limited to the first 40 people!
As usual, if your company would be interested in hosting a tour and/or sharing some of your best practices in manufacturing and quality, please contact anyone of our board members. I’m looking forward to our May’s joint program meeting with ASQ Section 1218 & I hope to see you there!
