Section Management Process

The American Society for Quality has recognized your Section #1206 for Section Management Plan performance for the 2006 – 2007 program year. ASQ has presented us with two awards: The Section Excellence Award and the Total Quality Award. Your Section Leadership has met the requirements to receive the ASQ recognition through developing and implementing our Section’s annual business plan and operating budget; by meeting all of the SMP deadlines; and by showing improvement on specific SMP measures.

Make sure that you congratulate the leaders of Section #1206 when you see them as they have been working hard for you, our members, to achieve our Sections’ mission and goals.

Original Winnebago Section Charter

Check out this copy of the original charter for our section.  It was signed in 1954 by Dorian Shainin.  Dorian Shainin (September 26, 1914 – January 7, 2000), has been credited for making contributions in the fields of industrial problem solving, product reliability and quality engineering, and is perhaps best known for the creation and development of the “Red X” concept.  He is responsible for the development of over 20 statistical engineering techniques that have become the core of the “Shainin System” for quality and reliability improvement.
